김민지(Lake Trial 7학년: 2004년 1월 31일 한국 출발, 현재 밴쿠버 아일랜드의 쿠티니에 있는 캐네디언 가정에서 홈스테이를 하고 있으며 중학교에 다니고 있음, 한국에서 구남 초등학교 6학년 수료) \r\n.........................................................\r\n민지의 2005년 2월 첫번째 유학생활 보고서\r\n========================================\r\nMinji has had a good beginning to her Canadian experience. \r\nHer host parents say that she has fit into their family as a daughter, and they are delighted by her presence in their home. \r\nShe calls Maria `Mom` and Carl is `father`, and she is asking to be treated the same as their daughter in every way. \r\n\r\nShe helps her host mother when she can. \r\nShe has made a good friend at school, a friend of her host sister, and they play together at her home and in the parks. \r\nShe goes swimming with her family on weekends, and shopping, and participates in all the family activities. \r\n.\r\nI saw her at the school board meeting this past week, where she represented international students along with another Korean and several German students, and her principal told me she was very proud of her. \r\nShe has a sweet personality which makes her popular with both staff and students. \r\nWe are pleased with her efforts to learn English and to adjust to Canadian life.\r\n(번역본)\r\n민지는 이곳 캐나다에서 아주 잘 적응하고 있습니다.\r\n민지 홈스테이 엄마,아빠 말씀에 의하면, 그 집안의 딸처럼 행동하며,잘 지내고 있고 모든 가족들이 민지가 온 것을 매주 좋아 하고 있답니다.\r\n민지는 엄마 마리아를 ‘엄마’ 칼을 ‘아빠’ 라 부르며 모든 면에서 그 집안의 딸과 같이 행동하고 또한 식구들도 그렇게 하길 바란답니다\r\n\r\n민지는 여가가 있을 때마다 엄마를 도와드리고 학교에서는 홈스테이 딸의 친구인 좋은 친구들을 사귀었고 집안에서나 공원 등에서 그들과 즐겁게 놀곤 한답니다. 주말에는 가족들과 수영을 가는 등 모든 가족행사에 참여 하고 있답니다. 지난주 학교 임원회의에 다른 한국 학생과 독일 학생을 대표하여 국제학생 대표로 참여 하기도 하였답니다. 교장선생님께서 민지가 아주 자랑스러운 학생이라고 저에게 얘기 하셨습니다\r\n민지는 아주 아름다운 마음씨를 가지고 있어 선생님과 학생 모두들을 편하게 하여주고 있습니다. 우리는 민지의 영어를 배우려는 의욕과 캐나다 생활을 익히려는 노력에 아주 기뻐하고 있습니다.\r\n\r\n\r\n
