Feb. Report – Jihoon(주: 2004년 11월15일 동야초등 4학년 재학중 혼자 한국인이 없는 밴쿠버 아일랜드 쿠트니에 캐네디언 홈스테이 하면서 초등 5학년에 다니고 있슴)\r\n \r\n곽지훈 2월 유학생활 보고서(번역본 첨부)\r\n======================================\r\nJiHoon has had his best month since his arrival in Canada.\r\nHe seems to be getting along very well with his host siblings and parents, eating Canadian food, and making several Canadian friends.\r\nGrandparents will be visiting from England this week, and he is looking forward to their stay very much. \r\nHe is enjoying his swimming lessons and is making good progress. \r\nThe weather has been beautiful, and so the children have been playing outdoors more, enjoying street hockey, football and soccer. \r\nThey recently had a lot of fun with `water guns`. \r\nHe goes on play dates with his friends, visiting their homes and having them play at his house. \r\nHe is looking forward to the beginning of soccer season coming up soon. \r\nAt school, things are better as well. He is applying himself more to his work. \r\nHe still has occasional `bad days` but in general school performance is improving. \r\nHe and a Korean girl, whose English skills, like his are more advanced than the other children, have three hours of instruction a week in improving their English. \r\nWe will see that he receives an additional two hours of private tutoring a week outside of school hours. \r\nHis host family is very pleased with JiHoon`s progress.\r\n지훈이는 이번달에 캐나다에 온 이래 가장 좋은 한 달을 지냈습니다.\r\n홈스테이 가족들, 형제, 자매들과 아주 잘 지내고 있고, 캐나다 음식을 잘 먹으며, 많은 캐나다 친구들을 사귀었습니다.\r\n\r\n이번 주에 영국에 계신 할아버지,할머니가 방문하실 예정이어서 그분들과 지낼 일들을 고대하고 있습니다. \r\n\r\n수영레슨을 즐기고 있으며 실력도 날로 발전 되고 있습니다.\r\n여기 날씨가 화창하여 아이들이 밖에서 노는 시간이 길어 지고 있고, 밖에서 하키, 럭비, 축구 등을 하면서 놀곤 한답니다.\r\n\r\n요즘은 물총을 가지고 아주 재미있게 노는 것 같아요. 지훈이는 날짜를 정하여 친구 집에 놀러 가기도 한답니다. 지훈이는 다가올 축구 시즌을 기다리고 있답니다.\r\n학교 생활도 많이 좋아 졌습니다. 자기 일을 자기가 잘 하고 있고, 학교성적이 안 좋은 날도 있지만 점차 좋아 지고 있습니다.\r\n\r\n지훈이와 진경(5학년 여학생) 의 영어 실력이 다른 학생들에 비하여 훨씬 두드러 진답니다.그들은 일주일에 3시간씩 영어 특별 수업을 받고 있습니다.\r\n\r\n그리고 지훈이는 일주일에 2시간씩 일과 후 개인 과외수업을 받고 있습니다.\r\n가족 모두 지훈이의 실력 향상을 아주 기뻐하고 있습니다.\r\n
