I just want to let you know about a few advancements In our program:

1. Our PAL (pre-arrival learning program) offers students an orientation to living and studying in Canada as well as how to navigate the airport on their way to us. Students have reported to us that they find it very helpful and really calmed their fears. Please check it out by using my login and password,

학생들이 학교에 등록을 마치게 되면 오리엔테이션 및 영어공부를 위한
인강이 제공됩니다. 캐나다에 가기전에 인터넷으로나마 공항도착부터 학교생활, 홈스테이등등 제반 상황들을 익히게 되고 그때 필요한 영어를
공부하게 됩니다.

2. Our Bridging English ESL classes are new and very rigorous in supporting students’ language abilities in English so that they can be successful once they are able to move into the academic English classes. These new ESL courses center on filling the gap between the level of each student’s functional English and stretching it to be able to function in an academic English class.

보통 학교들은 ESL이란 프로그램으로 학점을 받을 수 없는 영어기초 과정을 하게 됩니다. 그러나 8교육청은 브리찌프로그램을 개발하여 정규과목과 똑 같이 학점도 받고 정규영어를 듣는데 준비가 되도록 도와 주고 있습니다. 실제로 이런것은 학비를 절약하고 기간을 줄일 수 있는 방법입니다.

3. In addition to the Bridging English classes we have some exciting new skill academies:

a. Rugby ,Dance, ACIT – adventure in tourism class, Mt. Sentinel Quest for Humanity Program, Mt. Sentinel outward bound program

f. AVID – university preparation program with field trips to university sites throughout the year.

4. Our monthly activity program continues to be well loved by students and this month we will have our Valentine’s Day Bowling party.

5. The addition of a new scholarship for a graduating international student that will honour leadership and integration in our community. This will be a cash award of $750 towards a student’s future goals.
우수 졸업생에게 주어지는 장학금 $750불
